After Severe Winter Road conditions – Alignment check is a must!
After one of the most severe winters seen for some time, drivers are now looking forward to spring, for some good motoring. But, before you do, you need to be aware of toll this winter has had on your car, and may still have in the weeks and months ahead! During all the snow and ice, not many cars escaped an odd slip, slide or incident, whether it was into the kerb, snow bank, ditch or unfortunately for some, with another vehicle. Incidents such as this can put the vehicles wheel alignment out and in the majority of cases misalignment is not visible to the naked eye. But even when you thought it was safe, from under the ice and snow comes deep potholes! The effect of hitting these, in the more severe cases, will also alter the vehicle’s wheel alignment, and possibly even damaging critical components (wheel rims etc). Mis-alignment will result in reduced vehicle safety, poor handling and increased running costs through higher tyre wear and higher fuel consumption. So do get the four wheel alignment properly checked out.
The recommendation for having a wheel alignment check, comes not only from www.AlignMyCar.co.uk, but also from the TyreSafe organisation, see www.tyresafe.org To help you find your nearest Hunter Four Wheel Alignment Centre, use the ‘Centre Locator’ section of this website. |
