FAQ

I only have one or two cars come in with alignment difficulties a year, why should I consider Wheel Alignment Servicing?
9 out of every 10 cars on the road have some form of mis-alignment and this alone provides a business opportunity that shouldn’t be overlooked. With motoring costs increasing year upon year your customers are looking at ways to make savings. By providing a service that offers to save them money on fuel & tyres, plus improves safety and vehicle handling they will be very satisfied customers and happy to pay you for the service!

Do you supply the cheapest equipment?
No we do not, but we do supply proven market leading products at very competitive prices. The products we offer have some very unique features, to provide some of the highest returns on investment. We can tailor equipment and finance package to meet your needs, as required.

Why are there such a range of prices for PC based Aligners?
Aligners are designed to meet the variable demands of the market place. Some are for low usage and therefore have reduced features. For example a rural dealership (buying to meet their franchise obligation) will clearly not have the same level of requirements as a busy professional garage/tyreshop that require high powered features to provide high level Four Wheel Alignment Servicing to their customers.

Don’t all Aligners do the same job?
All Aligners will carry out alignment to varying degrees of completeness. It is important when you look for a new aligner you research the features each offer fully. But this is not the only consideration you should make, when choosing an Aligner. Look closely at the company who are selling to you and what they offer beyond the sale! When alignment starts working for your business, i.e. generating good revenue, only then does downtime becomes critical. We at Pro-Align know how important your aligner is to your business and reflect this in the way we support our customer through our Aftersales Department. All companies say they offer good aftersales service – so do speak to their customer base and check out the detail.

Surely my ‘Hang-on’ system is accurate enough?
Absolutely not! Generally all car manufacturers require 'run-out' compensation to be performed ahead of alignment readings. Hanging-on a tracking system will not allow for errors in the wheel rim or the fixture itself. Some German car manufacturers allow run-out to be bypassed, but only when using a special 'approved' adaptor. You have to read lights on scales and interpolate between the numbers shown.

Why Simultaneous Four Wheel Alignment?
The way the car drives is a function of the alignment angles of all four wheels. So just to measure the fronts, for example, means the job is incomplete and come backs/liability may result.
