Hunter 100 assists Mat Jackson’s drive to victory!
![]() Racing in the HiQ BTCC penultimate rounds at a very wet Silverstone, on Sunday 31st August, was Mat Jackson, in his Accident Exchange sponsored BMW 320 SI E90. In race 1, witnessed by a crowd of 27000 enthusiastic spectators, Jackson completed one of the most accomplished drives of the season. He drove from 14th Grid spot to a 2nd place behind Jason Plato. The first task with the car back in the BMW Dealer Team UK pit garage, was to measure the car’s geometry with the Hunter 100 equipped with 506XF sensors, the results showed a sizeable right rear toe change from the original wheel to wheel contact and 2mm change across the front, due to the collision impact, a testament to the durability of the BMW 320 chassis. With geometry reset and new bumper fitted, Jackson started race 3 from his lowly ranking, undeterred he thrilled the crowds as the BMW effortlessly passed car after car in the damp conditions. Jackson finally stole the show with an outstanding overtaking effort to take lead from Jason Plato at Beckets corner, and he then completed a strong final run to the chequered flag. Pro-Align & Hunter would like to congratulate BMW Dealer Team UK on their result and thank them for unwittingly demonstrating just how critical geometry settings are to handling performance.
